North Park Elementary School teachers and staff look forward to welcoming your children back to school on Monday, April 17. 

Please note that all the entry points into school that you normally use will remain accessible to students but will be staffed by school personnel.  

Breakfast will be served in the same manner it has always been served.

In addition, on Monday, you can remain with your child until the school bell rings at 8:45 a.m. 

A new school entry procedure and additional safety equipment have been installed to increase safety and security.

APRIL 12, 2017 UPDATE  
Classes at North Park Elementary School are cancelled for the remainder of the week. North Park Elementary will re-open and welcome back students on Monday, April 17.

Secondly, all North Park parents are invited to a special parent meeting on Thursday, April 13 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Bob Holcomb Elementary School, located at 1345 West 48th Street in San Bernardino.

Thirdly, on Thursday, April 13 and Friday, April 14 childcare will be available at Del Vallejo Middle School during regular school hours. This is the site that is providing counseling or support services to North Park staff members, parents and students. Bus transportation for childcare will be provided.

Students needing childcare who normally ride the bus will be picked up and dropped off at their normal times.

Students who walk to school can be dropped off at the front of Cajon High School at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday and Friday if they are in need of childcare. Morning kindergarten students will be returned to Cajon at 12:30 p.m.

Afternoon kindergarten students needing childcare will be picked up from Cajon at 11:45 a.m. They will be returned to Cajon at 4 p.m. along with 1st- through 6th-grade students.

This schedule only applies for families needing childcare on April 13 and 14.

Lastly, the North Park CAPS program will be offered at Del Vallejo, however parents must pick up their children from Del Vallejo at 6 p.m. on April 13 and 14.

Again, North Park School is reopening April 17.


Classes are cancelled for the remainder of the week and will resume on Monday, April 17.

We recognize a closed school is a hardship for families, therefore parents and guardians in need of childcare can drop students off in the care of trained professionals on Thursday and Friday from 8:50 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Del Vallejo Middle School.

Also, we invite all North Park families to a candlelight vigil today, Tuesday, April 11 at 7 p.m. in the North Park Elementary School playground. As a precaution, law enforcement volunteers will be present to ensure everyone's safety.


The District's Crisis Counseling Team will be available to all North Park families, students, and staff on Tuesday, April 11 from 8:50 a.m. t0 3 p.m. at Del Vallejo Middle School, 1885 East Lynwood Avenue in San Bernardino.
