The primary mission of the San Bernardino City Unified School District is to provide academic instruction sufficient to develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding required to promote personal development to the fullest extent of the individual's potential.
Yielding students the opportunity to apply their skills in a work place setting and link the experience to learning in the classroom is the goal of the Work Experience Education Program (WEE). The WEE Program provides classroom instruction and on-the-job training concurrently. During the classroom instruction portion of the program, students learn about the employability and workability skills that will ensure successful attainment of a job and retention thereafter. The on-the-job training portion of the program gives students the opportunity to maximize the value of their learned skills by applying them in a real world setting.
Students can earn ten (10) credits per year towards high school graduation in the WEE program.
