Physical Education movement program will provide standards-based
instruction which contributes to students’ understanding of good health,
as well as promote life-long habits of successful and enjoyable
physical activity experiences. Our goal is to help instill fundamental
and advanced motor skills, improve students’ self confidence, provide
opportunities for increased levels of physical fitness, and offer
lessons in which students work cooperatively to develop desirable levels
of ethical behavior and social and moral conduct.
The Physical Education Model Content Standards of California Public Schools
is an foundation for instruction and assessment aimed at student
learning and achievement. These standards put forth a comprehensive
vision that students need to know and be able to do at each grade level.
Student competence, achieved fitness levels, and personal knowledge of
physical abilities while enhancing self-esteem, are defined goals within
the content of our movement-based program.
